From the Roots Fellow, Phumlani Ndwandwe, will travel from Durban, South Africa to New York, Boston and Chicago in August for From the Roots' second annual Fellowship Exchange. Phumlani will receive trainings for integrating youth development into SAYO's sports programming while creating and strengthening partnerships with other sport for development organizations. His trip will culminate in our Roots & Wings fundraising event on August 22, where everyone will have a chance to meet Phumlani, hear about his work with SAYO, and contribute to the work of From the Roots. The fundraising event will feature live performances from Donda's House artists, Tony Famous and Mic Taylor. Tickets are $15 and will be donated to Phumlani and SAYO. Roots and Wings will take place at 1821 West Hubbard in Chicago, IL.
